    I believe this is the first time I’ve seen a Calvin and Hobbes strip which not only doesn’t contain Calvin or Hobbes, but doesn’t even reference them.

    Sometimes I feel lucky to have been homeless when I was 17-20 because I don’t relate to this.

      The homeless are at higher risk of violence and theft of their property despite already having so little.

      I was also homeless in my late teens and it didn’t worry me then because I was young and strong and had nothing to lose.

      The risk of break ins now weighs heavily on my mind despite the lower risk of violence or theft than I previously experienced but that’s because I have a family I need to protect.

      I guess the same applies to being relatively poor, it’s really not worth breaking into my flat, there’s barely anything of value in there anyways.

    You’re never safe. Life is kayaking on raging waters, you do your best to keep upright, but sometimes shit happens, and then you deal with it as best as you can.
