You’re the naive teenager if you think that covering up hundreds (thousands? more?) of rapes and probably at least a dozen murders will produce anything other than extreme hatred in the vast majority of people.

Yeah, in general, yes, it would be nice if people were more empathetic to others generally.

But wanting bad things to happen to completely corrupt people who’ve committed unfathomable numbers of crimes, who are fairly likely to suffer no real consequences for this?
