99.9% of whatever Rheinmetall makes does not go to Israel but is absolutely necessary to keep Europe save from Russia while the US stops supplying us and Ukraine.

If she wants to make a difference to arms deliveries for Israel she needs to go to the US, not Germany.

So what you’re saying is that Rheinmetall can very simply and easily stop giving arms to Israel since it’s so insignificant?

      Glad we’re in agreement

So is .1%, a number you made up, an acceptable amount of German taxpayer funded weapons to be used in a genocide?

      Seems kinda arbitrary.

And why do you act like there aren’t already protests for this in the US? Hell Trump has already deported pro-palestine activists

Don’t you get cognitive dissonance from the fact that Russia both can’t win in Ukraine but will attack and pose a threat to the entirety of NATO?

Russia can’t win in Ukraine in part because of Rheinmetall. They tried to assasinate the Rheinmetall CEO.

If we don’t produce defensive and offensive weapons they will some day attack the Baltics or Poland to create a land bridge to Kaliningrad, yes!

We? Are you aware that lemmy is not (only) a voice for the hegemonic western world and their propaganda machine?

If we don’t produce defensive weapons they will some day attack the Baltics or Poland to create a land bridge to Kaliningraf, yes!

By that logic literally any country could potentially invade another thereby forcing all countries into a permanent hostage situation and arms race.

Don’t you see how that hysteria feeds into the interests of weapon manufacturers?

Agree none of these points needed AI slop imagery to make the point.

          AI is inherently anti-worker

Also the point they made is well pointless. All they did was describe how arms manufacturers work. Like okay?

I’m not aware of a community or instance ban against AI images, also they are not mine, are from the cited article.

It’s just a loud lynch mob consisting of bourgeois copyright expander crusaders, and “AI is 100% useless” cultists who hate getting proven wrong all the time.

They can’t do shit if you ignore their demands, they talk big to hide that they don’t have actual power anywhere.

ill never understand why some leftists simp for a big tech technology that is ran by billionaires and based on stolen data from random internet users, and stolen art from artists (yes, the majority of artists barely earn anything and many are struggling to make ends meet and yes this hurts them too), and which drives an increasing amount of people to unemployment because there’s no replacement jobs and the speed at which this is progressing is way above what it should be.

thought we were supposed to be for full employment?

just being against AI slop doesn’t make someone one of those (fully) anti AI lunatics. obviously there’s good uses for AI but there’s absolutely no valid use for the AI image generation of chatgpt or whatever the fuck the flavour of diarrhea of the month is. use of other LLMs is acceptable in some scenarios but should be used carefully cus it can end up in a disaster real easy if nobody’s holding their foot on the brake for when shit starts going downhill

Do you think the same applies to sample based music?

The counter-argument to this from a leftist pov is that LLMs are just a tool and its the relationship of production that is the issue here - if LLMs just meant people kept the same jobs they had but now they had more time off I doubt anyone would have an issue with it at all.

no, because those samples are used to create something completely different

if the samples were being used to create the same song or basically the same song with essentially nothing changed i’d have a problem with it

yeah Coulda just used the text itself instead of AI bullshit, or like the bottom one which might also be AI but then I would say just use real pictures of the military tech? Cuz it’s great information, it’s perfect for a zine or something just make the pictures real pictures? Been touching too much grass I know I know
