According to Warner, Trump's speech was less about foreign interference in U.S. elections, and more about the president's own interference.

President Donald Trump made many spurious allegations in his Thursday night speech, with claims that there were serious attempts from China to interfere in the 2020 election.

However, on Face the Nation Sunday, Senate Intelligence Committee vice chairman Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) said the real reason for Trump’s speech was to signal the president’s own intentions to interfere with November midterms.

“Why is he doing all these things? I believe it’s because Donald Trump intends to interfere in this year’s elections,” said Warner in an interview with Face the Nation’s Margaret Brennan. “He knows if there is a free and fair election, his policies will be rejected at record levels.”

    Opening shot? This was step 17 and we probably missed a few steps on the count. Democrats are so disconnected it is really hard to rally behind them with any enthusiasm. “Guess I’ll support these idiots because we live under an 18th century government created by people who didn’t understand math very well.”

      Well, voting third party is throwing you vote away under the system we live in right now. So, it really is a vote between the disconnected and the party that claims to be domestic terrorists and finds these people to be very fine:

          It’s even more painful if you know anyone but these chuds that lives in Charlottesville. Despite the infamous events that took place there, it’s actually a really nice place with thriving subculture and lots of good art.

        It is not throwing your vote away, it is being used by a two-party system to ensure whoever is in the lead stays there. That’s not throwing your vote away, that is inadvertently voting for the candidate you didn’t want. You vote works against your intentions, just how the system is intended to work.

        Don’t get to butt hurt though, remember the people have Congress to represent them (BS I know) while the wealthy have the Senate, Judiciary, and the Executive Branch. Totally fair!
