I have virtually zero knowledge of The Odyssey as a Greek mythology, save for a few recognisable names like the Helen of Troy, the Trojan War etc. I do want to enjoy the movie to its fullest, and if learning about the plot material is essential to it, then so be it. Is there a good resource giving a summarized version of the plot enough to understand the film? If so, I would really appreciate it if you shared it here.

    This is what you need to know. It is a written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Therefore:

    • The Dialogue will be shit
    • The characters will be shit
    • The sound effects will be shit and or jarring, or both.
    • The Music will be repetitive and also shit.
    • The story will be absurdly, needlessly confusing because Nolan’s story telling ability is shit.
    • It is highly likely that there will be an insignificant event or piece of dialogue early in the movie that the entire story hinges around.
    • The action will be very good.
    • The production values will be very good.

    In short what do you need to know about Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey? Skip it.
