I finished the children of time series and cage of souls a few months ago. Love the words he builds, tho I kinda feel like he struggles to end his story’s strong

I didn’t read the Cage of Souls [yet], but the Shards of Earth series had a very strong ending and clean wrap up.

I found the beginning of the first book was a bit unsettling at first, with the character’s styles seemingly dab a bit into fantasy, but the author quite nicely turned things around after.

What timing. I literally just put down the book after reading chapter 12 and checked Lemmy.

Great Ones or Great Old Ones? Personally I’d take the intervention of any higher power at this point.

          Great Old Ones!

But even some fish people storming world superpowers would be ok.

Or a small roaming crack in reality pulling or grabbing people in it’s vicinity.

A disembodied powerless voice whispering people into catatonic madness maybe (like a Cthulhu understudy or something).

          Anything really.
