It doesn’t matter if you don’t like it. It’s here, it’s not going anywhere, and it’s only a matter of time before it’s hiding its AI features and indistinguishable from anything not AI. As long as people are profiting off of us being addicted to the screens, AI will not be stopped as there has never been an easier way to keep people staring at the screens. It’s like printing money or making meth. It sells, despite any attempt to prevent profits. Businesses that utilize it will have an edge over those that don’t. Now is the time to invest. Get what you can off github, now. Our value goes down as jobs are lost to them. Don’t complain if you refuse to choose to adapt.

Is there a mutual fund you’re recommending?

No, nor do I have money to invest. I recommend getting what’s free and open source and running it on your own machine to suit your needs, even if it’s nothing more than your own amusement. Running it on your own machine cuts the strings to those that prefer to guide you.

The original post has video of this kid as well, and AI slop isn’t that good at faking moving hair yet. From a quick browse of that guy’s page he does over-process and filter the shit out of his stills making them look like slop, but these do appear to be real bad hair days.

Idt that it’s AI, but don’t have Instagram to further confirm my suspicions.

The modern equivalent of photoshop and a filter!? On instagram!? /lh

Shitty that youtube is adding upscaling and altering people’s videos without an opt out. I’m with you there. It’s not necessary and if I was a creator, I’d be upset about the quality of my art being altered by a gallery without my knowledge.

Actually I retract, it’s real: Bohdan Vasylkov, a Ukrainian barber. He has an Instagram page and the images are heavily post processed I suppose.

Great catch. The leftmost tooth in the right image is a dead giveaway, unless he had a strange cleft lip (the left image shows that is not the case).

The image isn’t funny if it isn’t real. But it’s too good and also blurry to be obvious.

      Edit: it’s real.

No, his lip looks larger in the right but it’s actually his gums showing behind.

This image appears to he real.
