Newest admit…another Great Horned Owl found grounded in Lynchburg, TN. We have named him Jack since he was found at Jack Daniel’s Distillery. He is being treated for frounce, anemia, and secondary poisoning. We are hopeful he will make a full recovery.
Frounce, aka tricomononosis, is an illness caused by protozoa. It causes plaque-like buildup in the mouth and throat that can make eating, swallowing , and breathing difficult.

Poor thing. It makes me happy to see people helping animals in situations like this. I hope his recovery will be swift and that Jack will soar the sky soon again! Thanks for posting Anon!
I still get amazed by all these animals can bounce back from. Giving them care is the least we can do for them in a harsh world. After all, they give us so much joy.
