I don’t think I’ve ever seen one so grey before. Pretty sure this photographer is from the UK. The European Long Eared Owls are colored a bit differently than the American ones, so it took me a bit in the beginning to know they were real photos.
It looks really good with the orange eyes. Their eyes can range from pretty yellow to deep orange.
There are actual Ashy Faced Owls, for any of you not aware. They’re a barn owl type though. I find them very nice looking as well, especially since I’ve been on a barn owl kick the last few months.
