I did used to have a lot of anxiety to talk in front of a crowd but I’m also a sicko and I get real high when I do talk in front of a crowd or group (albeit the anxiety).

I did do a lot presentations and seminars under different contexts. I just made sure to do an eye contact towardd the group or professors in between presenting.

Now my background varies here from india but usually whether graduation level or post, the type of seminar I attended always had panels of professors and also students asking some questions. Depending on the professors answering and explaining your topic can differ. If they are very confrontational the responses should still be cool and calculated from the presenter.

Now I’ve had my fair amount of beefs with a lot of professors but even then I had to be subdued when dealing with them.

As for overcoming speaking anxiety I don’t have a specific answer. It depends on you. I generally still have some issues talking but I repeat myself often. Now stuff like anxiety won’t just go away by like resolve. You gotta power through even with the anxiety. Just don’t observe the surrounding, say your piece and try to clarify. Not everyone is some orator. No one is just magically good at a thing. Its all trail and error.

You are overthinking a lot here. But I can’t see what end result you are worried of. You keep saying you’re not equipped or made for higher subjects. You don’t know that and even if that’s the case you shouldn’t give a shit. I don’t got any self esteem and think way worse than you. I failed a lot, like embarrassing amount for dumb reasons. But I don’t go on about self pitying myself. I don’t wanna give a shit about failing. All that amounts is your work and time you put into a thing.

Once you get through it, it would seem trivial. Cause look at you. You got through seven semesters. One more semester with two courses ain’t shit for you. Stop thinking of worst case scenarios. Just you work your way throught the course. Get through the material, prepare your stuff for seminars or papers. That’s most of it. Presenting it one single part of it. Don’t miss forest for the trees.

I didn’t see those comments but yeah I don’t see why India will abandon Russian oil or even relations with Russia. They are very intertwined. Very laughable to assume otherwise.

Also simon is insufferable outside. He is a huge russiagate guy amd of course now slava ukraini guy. Very annoying liberal. But hey made decent shows.

Oh yeah. Mr simon worked for the sun (rag 🤮), of course he put like a self insert. Not to mention this show was on during the iraq, which the Usa media help launch and launder.

That’s why I think sopranos is the better show which does showcase putrid america by the end.

He is funny tho and the actor rocks

Stringer bell and avon is such a perfect pair. One thinks there is method to the madness in this profit seeking system. Other sees through it.

One of funniest plot lines is stringer getting owned by clay davis.

Also best scene in the series is when avon and stringer fight when avon suggests he is not hard enough.

Only character post season 3 I liked was cutty, who tries to string together a community boxing thing. I like him better than bunny colvin.

I like wire. I think the first season is really perfect and unmatched. But I have over the years found it hard to finish the show. I lost full on interest once stringer dies. And once barksdale crew is out of focus the show was really boring for me.

Overall the show really teeters between what it wants to convey. It wants to point to how corrupt police are or how voilent they are but also they are goodie two shoes who want to do good. My biggest annoyance is the attempt to really hamfist and whitewash pryzbylewski. How he becames a great teacher after committing a hate crime. They go real far with it, like him giving sage advice to dukie and dukie in the end falling into addiction. Ughhh if only he let the white savior save him.

The last two seasons are unbearable to me. Especially the last one. Its almost like mr simon channels his inner aaron sorkin and does a newsroom. The noble truth teller journalist vs the dumb new reporter. The whole dumb plot about mcnulty and his murder scheme.

I can’t stand marlo or his crew. I think barksdale crew was interesting and then they lost the plot. Here’s a bunch evil characters who kill people cause why not.

Of course as it goes on they really lose grip on using previous characters. Like omar. Omar’s character arc by the end was just uneventful.

The show just keeps doing this thing where it shows people who suffering in this system and dying. Like the women in the containers or the several homeless people in the show or the kids that get roped into drug dealing. It shows the incomplete response from the state or shows the lack of support systems. But overall the show just shrugs and says well all the different people incharge of this system, their hands are tied. Everyone just wants to get in on the game doesn’t matter who it is. But the people suffering are just hapless and bound to suffer. They got no recourse.

It starts solid but ends in self flagellation. In that sopranos edges it in being way better as it goes on.

That’s not to say its trash. Its just not better. Also valchek is the funniest character and season 2 rocks.

Try some debian or antix they go well with older stuff. I have a old 2015 laptop. I run gnome debian 12. Ran antix prior. Its pretty solid.

The installers come with gui partition stuff so don’t worry.

You can do user to user transfer. I will try and simplify it.

1. Make a folder with same name on two devices.
2. Connect them using scanner code in web app or app.
3. Make sure to keep source as sender and be able make changes. While receiver should only recieve and do no changes.
4. Copy file to the folder and it will be sent to reciever.

Afterwards you can remove the file from folder and receiver can also move it elsewhere to view.

Once set up is very easy to send. Its ok ask away if you got any doubts.

No its pretty good for both. You can transfer large files pretty well without any break. I don’t know what your grievance is. It is solid for file transfer.

Syncthing is for making backups from a source and keep copies in several devices. Its very solid to send large files. It syncs any changes to files in the source to the backup locations.

Syncthing is the only decent one I used. Kde connect is wonky.

Localsend is pretty bad.

Other commenter already pointed to shotcut. I second that. I used it for a long time its solid. So is kdenlive. Check em out.
