Voice transcription predates AI. I remember using a piece of software called dragon back in 2010 to transcribe my dissertation.

There’s not enough information in the article. For example has complaint actually been raised, because it’s sort of sounds like she’s just complained online about it but hasn’t actually done anything official.

It also doesn’t apply outside the US (there’s a whole planet out there guys) so regardless of the nuance of its construction, it isn’t relevant here anyway.

A local bar has banned them already with a sign that basically says “this ban is as much to prevent you from getting punched as anything else”.

In theory they shouldn’t be a problem because I think there’s a little LED that lights up when the camera is on, but in practice people don’t know that so assume the worst.

That’s like the least offensive use of AI as well. I’m perfectly fine with voice transcription that’s hardly even an AI

Not to defend the glasses because they’re obviously a problem, but that’s more an individual doctor issue than a problem with the product.

Not if they don’t already have the infrastructure in place. Remember that these power stations were built 30 odd years ago. No one expected climate change to get this bad this quickly even in the most pessimistic of models.

The big problem is it’s really hard to have a conversation you can reply to someone and they can reply to you but the UI does not lend itself well to having a multi-person conversation, so at the moment you try and involve more than two people it just becomes a mess.

Plus I cannot stand with the fact that when somebody quotes a comment their response is placed above the original quote. Meaning I always read them out of order and don’t understand it until I remember that I need to read it bottom to top and now it makes sense.

I’m just don’t really find the Twitter experience to be all that much use. I was never a big Twitter user anyway.

So I’ve tried to this and it doesn’t work.

I tried going to work for fun, but it wasn’t and I suspect that if I leave early that won’t be fun either.

You’d have to check out a pretty significant chunk of the upper leadership before you got to someone competent.

Have you seen AI make games they’re terrible. They objectively work but they’re not good games because AI has no creativity.

Granted trump isn’t exactly our favorite person in the world but I think that blowing up the plane is a little unsuttle, and may cause some international comment. So I don’t think the chances of the plane being attacked were very likely.

That will have been because whoever shelved it didn’t know what it was.

What is it with Americans and bud light anyway. It’s the worst version of the product and yet for some reason it’s really popular in the US.

I don’t know if this is a hot take or not but alcohol free beer is pointless. I don’t believe anybody actually drinks beer for the taste because it objectively doesn’t taste all that great, people like beer because of the association it has with having a good time with your friends, nobody drinks it as a refreshing beverage.

The fact that beer doesn’t actually taste all that good is why people invented cocktails.

I think they’re waiting for the fossilization process to complete. Expect an update in about 250 million years, only then will they admit that maybe he might be dead. But they still won’t confirm anything.

My cousin set his parents email address as the test email in a pre-production database. Eventually the pre-production database became a production database and they ended up getting a lot of boxes for things that they haven’t ordered or paid for. I think they ended up receiving one of everything that the company actually sells in every possible variation.

I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion. I can’t see most people really carrying one way or the other but governments don’t like it because it’s messy to legalize murder but only underscertain circumstances, so they would prefer to just not deal with it at all.
