No. He’d dump her, then come back all apologetic less than 24 hours later, beg for forgiveness, and promise to change. He’d make grand gestures in the first few days and make her feel like he might be serious this time. Within a week, whatever it was will have become her fault, she’ll always have been the real abuser in the situation, and he’ll punish her by withdrawing until she interprets his vague, passive-aggressive hints correctly in order to atone for her sins against him in the only way he has deemed appropriate. This whole thing will be just one one in a long line of many similar incidents, which have escalated over enough time that he has convinced her that she is, in fact, the bad one and that she deserves to be treated this way because of it. She’ll have been kept on an emotional rollercoaster for so long that when (if) the relationship finally does end, it will take a very long time for her to be able to identify the pattern.
I have some first-hand experience in this area.

I’m glad it’s not just me. XD
It’s possible to both understand the reasons why the US election went the way it did, and hold individuals accountable for their behaviour, including the way they voted.
I have a lot of compassion for people who get so caught up in the right wing propaganda machine that they’re willing to vote against their own best interest out of fear. I can’t even begin to imagine living in so much terror of some nebulous other that I end up thinking it’s okay to round up immigrants, bomb children, and criminalize people’s gender identities. It sounds like a horrible way to exist in the world. I am so very angry at the systems that have allowed things to get this bad. That doesn’t change the fact that those individuals are still responsible for the harm their actions - and votes - have caused, and people who are willing to throw away basic human decency like that rather than put the work in to examine their own biases are not welcome anywhere near my life.
In other words, causing harm out of misguided anger does not diminish the harm done. So, fuck 'em. It’s not my job to play nice in the hopes that they’ll have some come-to-Jesus moment.
Not if they get cremated!
It’s a private company in the “health and wellness” industry. Basically modern day snake oil salesmen that convince vulnerable (or stupid) people that “big pharma” is evil and giving you cancer or whatever, while the mystery pill they’re peddling will cure anything that ails you. It typically comes with a hefty price tag, lots of sales pressure, and zero evidence to back it up.

Yep. I’m a 5’5" woman with short legs and a long torso. In order to fully depress the clutch on my car, I have to have the seat nearly all the way forward. There are plenty of other signs that my car was built for a 6’ tall man, but that’s a biggie.

I don’t think he realizes he’s playing Uno.

My current partner and I are planning on getting married in the next couple of years. He’s wonderful. I don’t see this relationship ending, but if it does my best friend and I plan on throwing darts at a map until we hit somewhere we both like. We’ll get a place and become old punk grandmas together because neither of us wants to deal with dating ever again.

It was going okay before dude started bragging about how he went out with a lady not too long before. He wasn’t all that into her and he said she clearly wasn’t into him, but he paid for dinner and guilted her into going home with him because he “might as well get something out of paying for her.” Giant red flag at this point. I went to the bathroom, when I came back the bill was on the table. He claimed that the server had brought it as one bill, rather than separate, and pointed out that she’d drawn a heart around the total in red pen. He refused to let me pay for my portion.
The thing is, it’s standard practice for servers to ask if the bill should be together or separate here, and I’d always been asked at that particular bar. Dude wasn’t a local and clearly didn’t know that. This guy told me about how he used “but I paid so now you owe me” to coerce a woman he knew wasn’t interested into having sex with him, and then immediately tried the same bullshit on me. He had deliberately asked for a single bill while I was away from the table. I’m reasonably certain he’s the one who drew the heart on the bill too.
Needless to say, it didn’t work. He still tried to drag me off to catch the train in his direction with him and got real upset when I told him to fuck himself and bolted. I’m very glad it was an early date so it was still light out. This guy did not take kindly to being told no.
Brownies. I’d go with this recipe over the one in the OP, though.
