The CEO of our company is also a stupid 9-5. He doesn’t own the company so gotta slave for 10 years. He’s lucky as he won’t be slaving for 30 years just to pay of a mortgage on 1 home.

You know the people who had the files this whole time are the same people that would be the ones doing the arresting right?

How many of these releases do we need to have to realize that the truth being either exposed or rumored doesn’t change anything.

We had the Panama Papers. There was the Snowden leaks. The Chelsea Manning leaks. Hell, the fucking CIA admitted they were secretly drugging civilians with LSD just to see what would happen.

If you are surprised that this time is any different, you aren’t paying enough attention.

    Remember the Panama Papers?

    Yeah…

As for the 9-5ers, how else are they gonna live? Just existing costs money in the US, and refusing to run the rat race still carries a social stigma in many places. The ideals of rugged individualism and the nuclear family as the base unit of society have eroded communities and people are somewhat isolated even in urban centers. Social media only fuels this effect by giving people a synthetic sense of community and belonging.

No one’s likely to make waves until they see a direct threat to themselves or a community they identify with is at their doorstep.

Do we have concrete incriminating evidence of wrongdoing? Like, even if you have written extensively with Jeffrey and visited his Island, that still doesn’t prove that you’re guilty of anything. I think probably you are, but it’s very difficult to prove.

Sure, you might even admit that you slept with women on the island - but again, how to prove that these women were not of consenting age, or that they were not on the island by their own free will?

How about this, anyone associated with him any way get the fucking ax. Once we have done that for anyone in the files as even meeting with the guy, we can sift through the ashes and apologize to the 3 people out of thousands that didn’t know anything was happening.

I don’t even care to hear their testimony. They would lie. They would cover. If we give these parasites the benefit of an actual trial, nothing will ever happen because they control the courts. They control the law enforcement.

      Exactly this.

Epstein courted a lot of people, he was a billionaire. He did business with people, I’m even sure most of it was legitimate (If you exclude the likely price fixing, insider trading and generally scumbag billionaire behavior) I’m fine with lining the people who knowingly fucked kids up against a wall, but before we give the order to fire I want to see some proof of guilt. I just dont support convicting people on vibes.

just my random opinion here…i have a feeling a lot of people out there probably feel the same way, but (the ones actually capable of carrying this kind of stuff out, atleast) they’re just waiting for this upcoming midterms to play out, see if dems/progressives really do sweep it then they get 1 more chance to actually hold these animals accountabile…and if they don’t, then people start getting executed in their beds/out on the streets

Given that there was a period of four years where the dems had full access to release every piece of evidence relating to the files, but didn’t; I don’t think the people in power would actually let the guys that wear a different coloured badge do all that much.

Not one person has been arrested yet after the Epstein files were released?

That’s why the Biden admin didn’t want to release the files. Public scrutiny isn’t helpful to determining whether a charge is legally feasible or not. The government had the files the whole time. Of course, current Trump DOJ is filled with a bunch of new hires with zero training slaving over bogus immigration detainments.

During Biden the investigation was still ongoing, Maxwell was sentenced and was appealing.

SCOTUS for some “strange reason” extended her appeal time until 2025, essentially putting seal on the files.

I can’t say what Biden was or wasn’t planning to do, but releasing files was not an option because of SCOTUS.

To be frank as long as the investigation was ongoing there was a chance that charges would be pressed (you might argue that would never happen, but that’s a speculation)

What trump did though is when he took office he shut down the investigation, said there’s nothing to investigate, no charges to being and basically portrayed that Epstein was just that guy living in basement and downloaded tons of CP.

This is why people demand files released. If there is no investigation ongoing and no charges were placed, let us see them and decide ourselves if that conclusion is reasonable.

Non-lawyers have zero capacity to do that, though. There’s a big difference between what any one person wants the law to be and what it actually is.

I’m sure we can find few lawyers outside of DOJ.

Besides, lawyers exist because courts have strict requirements regarding interpretation of a law in order to sentence someone.

You don’t need to study law to be able to tell that somebody did something heinous or not.

A lot of heinous things aren’t necessarily against the law. For example, there’s an email in the file from a law professor advising him on legally trafficking minors to states with lower ages of consent.
