The state lawmaker leads his opponent by four percentage points, 47% to 43%

State Rep. James Talarico is beating Rep. Jasmine Crockett in Texas’ Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate, according to a new poll.

The survey was shared by JT Ennis, a spokesman for Talarico. It showed that the lawmaker had a 4-point advantage before his interview with Stephen Colbert, which stirred controversy after not being aired on the late show television. Talarico claimed it was the Trump administration who blocked the airing of the interview and called it “the most dangerous kind of cancel culture.”

Conducted by Impact Research among 800 likely voters in the Democratic primary, the survey showed Talarico getting 47% of the support, compared to Crockett’s 43%. 9% of respondents said they were undecided.

Anyone claiming Talarico is a centrist is intentionally smearing him or unaware of his performance in Texas and his platform for his Senate run.

He’s not a Democratic Socialist, but he is the closest thing to it that could come out of Texas. Jasmine Crockett is arguably farther right than he is. More importantly, most polling predicts that Talarico has the better chance against Cornyn (incumbent). However, odds are nearly the same for both candidates against Paxton.

That said, the most interesting part of this whole thing is that Republicans are boosting Crockett. She’s their pick to run against Cornyn. Do they think she can win but would be easier to control than Talarico? Do they think it’s a guarantee for Cornyn? Whatever the case, Trump thinks her nomination would be a gift to the GOP.

His website says nothing about dismantling the nuclear arsenal, which is the greatest threat to all life on earth.

His website says nothing about establishing a carbon tax or banning the burning of fossil fuels, which is the second most threat to all life on earth. In fact, he says he wants to build more fossil fuel infrastructure!

His website doesn’t say anything about stopping the Israeli genocide. In fact, he legitimizes the Israeli terrorist State, and says he wants to disarm the Palestinian government while continuing to provide Iron Dome to the Israelis (note he doesn’t say give Iron Dome to the Palestines, who are the victims of genocide from their neighbors).

He also seems to be pretty hostile to undocumented immigrants. And he seems to oppose abolition (he actually says we should give more money [“resources”] to police!)

Thanks, I was wrong. He seems to be right of center.

He’s running for a Senate seat in Texas and needs to beat a beloved lifetime Republican incumbent. Only a child wants everything all at once.

Don’t let the fascists drag you to the right.

Electing someone right of center is not acceptable.
