      You’re the second person to say that and I never heard of it before. Is it a newly popular or something? (I heard of “rib eye” which apparently is the same thing?)

        Cuts are defined and named differently depending on the kitchen type/standard. It’s pretty close to ribeye, yes. They’re from the same part of the cattle, but ribeye implies American style butchering, while entrecôte is French style.
