I dunno if this is really a curse. I’ve played Warframe, I know not to gift any animals with human intelligence. That’s how you end up giving them human depression.
You’re not tempted to communicate with a pet?

Damn. Yeah, at that point, I’d put all my assets in a trust for her, hire a caretaker under the trust, and go jump of the nearest bridge of lethal height. I don’t know much, but I depend on knowing our dogs love us.
