The problem isn’t that there aren’t supplies for them. It’s that the Israelis are preventing it from getting in. Donating won’t fix that.
Dumb question. If they collect donations, how do they plan to get them into Gaza?
I worry that donation campaigns for Gaza are likely scams because they won’t be able to get the aid where it is supposed to go. I worry that the people leading this are just pocketing the donations.
Please tell me I’m wrong and these people are actually trying to use the donations well…
To receive the money collected through fundraisers, Palestinians need to work with a “receiver”, someone outside of Gaza who sets up the campaign and collects the money on their behalf and wires the money through their banks. That’s because the platforms use payment processors that do not operate in Gaza.

Most of the people I come across are real, they only appear like scams because we still can’t come to terms with the fact that all Gazans are starving therefore they all have to pick up this full time job of fundraising from strangers.
Most of the money that gets pocketed goes to the western NGOs because their bureaucracy kills people through incompetence and racism. Donating to individuals and mutual aid orgs on the ground will always be more effective than relying on “respectability creds”.

Even more, the passive language is still being used. “People risk being hurt or killed” – by who? “Trucks with food are being held not far from those who need it” – by who?
FFS this is cowardly.
