Teaching is extremely demanding and often very underpaid, meanwhile children with additional needs generally require more help to support creating a greater workload.
I can fully understand why people would want to drop out, but it’s a huge loss for the children and other teachers will be the ones to have to pick up the extra children creating a vicious cycle.
Teachers are overworked overeducated shackled to bad policy made by idiots who don’t understand their jobs and abused basically everywhere.
Japan is the land of everyone being overworked and abuses at their jobs, in the decade of everyone globally being overeducated, overworked, shackled to bad policy made by violently ignorant authorities, and abused.

It’s a real shame…like, I really feel like there are two types of people who become and remain teachers (at least here in America):
I would think cultural attitudes (particularly work ethic) in Japan make that all the more difficult…especially if they are getting paid comparably.
Fortunately…I feel the former still outnumber the latter. But they are dwindling in numbers. At least our birthrates are dwindling to compensate.
