Looking for weather website recommendations. Show me your favorites. Thanks!
Multiple people have recommended https://yr.no/ to me recently. It’s Norwegian but effective everywhere.
I was coming here to recommend the exact same thing. I use the Android app specifically. Even here in South Africa, it beats AccuWeather and all the others, which I’m pretty sure just go with the closest city instead of my actual location.
Yr seems to go the distance in actually finding the closest weather station to you, which you can view on a map as well. And the most accurate hourly breakdown I’ve come across. Nothing else compares anymore.
Came here to suggest this. As a norwegian I have been using it since forever, but I wasn’t aware of how good it is for outside of Norway too until a friend of mine, who then worked with them mentioned that they had a surprisingly large user base from an African village.
I travel a lot for a living, so I often use it for places I am headed to on the other side of the world.
It’s run by the norwegian metrological institute, so their model is based on the same data you’d have with paid services.
I usually go to wunderground.com
It was so much better before The Weather Channel bought it.
accuweather is not too bad on website using desktop but don’t bother with the app, it’s horrible, ads etc
Weatherspark is great for weather trends and comparing locations. Doesn’t do daily forecasts anymore though.
oooo i really like the layout for this one
I always recommend using your country’s state weather agency website. It will probably be the most accurate, and you can often get real time readings from the agency’s sensors around the country.
In my case, because I live in Spain, I use AEMET.
Y!天気 Not because it’s particularly interesting, but it’s more accurate than others that I’ve tried.
the OSS Weather app on Android has been pretty good for me this last year. Seems it’s using open-meteo as default provider.
