If a centrist saw a burning building he’d lecture the fire crew for wanting to change too much.

You know, maybe all those years of being taught that extremism is bad and centrism is good, while fascism was on the rise, was just manipulation to keep people from pushing back.

The right wing base does not demand purity tests.

What convinced you of this? I’ve seen this claim before, but I’ve never seen it backed up by anything.

For example, does the right-wing base support pro-choice candidates? How about pro-LGBTQ candidates? What concessions has the base made to the Republican Party?

          Naw, it’s about Israel.

“Conservatives are quick to denounce each other, jump on dogpiles, disavow, attack their allies,” The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh wrote…

“The left will keep up the united front and defend their guys no matter what, while we keep throwing each other to the wolves at every opportunity. Great plan.”

          Sound familiar?

If we abandon our principles we’re no better than they are. That being said, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

There are some things which should be non-negotiable. One of them should be free and universal health care. That seems eminently reasonable, since other developed nations have this.

anti-genocide should also be a non-negotiable ‘purity test’ as well, to the dismay of many establishment Dems arms-deep in AIPAC money

You dont understand, we cant afford to campaign on popular social welfare, or popular taxes on rich people, or protecting those popular rights you people are always going on about, or preventing the very unpopular corruption, and we definitely cant capaign on the very popular subject of the epstein files. Right now we have to worry about electability by showing moderate republicans we can reach across the aisle.

In the sidebar listed under ‘our goals’:

Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.

It sounds like this is already a US-centric comm?
