Edited to add - To be clear for anyone, it’s Oligarchs/Billionaires paired with rampant, unfettered corporate greed. (at least in my view)

Someone reminded me that I was using dogwhistle parlance in my use of they which may have suggested otherwise.

Here are some visual aids to accompany my clarification:

Man, fuck all that. “Socialists” just let authoritarians into power who then never let go. Your revolution will just leave a warlord in a Che shirt.

Democratic governments with strong social safety nets and robust middle classes are consistently capitalistic. Do you have an example otherwise?

edit: 20 minutes, four downvotes, and zero examples otherwise.

edit: maybe I’ve blocked 10 authoritarian tankies that I cannot read their replies. Hmm.

… and the Zapatists then? The Spanish Republic? The Makhovivschna?

Democratic communism is not only achievable, it has been done. And the issue is that often, capitalists seek to crush it the moment they can. So we must protect each other.

Like we aren’t already living in an authoritarian hell hole where the government doesnt represent the will of the people.

Democratic governments have a strong safety net? Really? Better tell then nearly a million homeless in the richest country in the world that they have better social nets then china, cuba, USSR which all guaranteed a home for everyone to live in. Hell there is still a guarantee in the Russian constitution which is better then non-acknowledgement of the US.

Did you notice how the global south is still poor and has major issues and just about every fucking country is a Democratic government?

Calling Che Guvera a dictator is hilarious since he died fighting for Revolution in Bolivia after he helped free Cuba from the US imperialist grip. Definitely the actions of a power hungry dictator that already won power in an island nation.

You still haven’t done any fucking reading. Could you stop with the fucking NATO, imperialist propaganda please. If you aren’t then at least get more informed. Your embarssing to all the other boot lickers.

        Edit:

Cuba has a strong protections for its people and a growing economy due to trade with the BRICS alliance.

China has uplifted millions out of poverty before capitalism was introduced in the 1990s

Rojava is doing well for itself considering its location in northern Syria.

          Wow. Where to start?

Democratic governments have a strong safety net?

          Like FDR.

Did you notice how the global south is still poor and has major issues and just about every fucking country is a Democratic government?

Calling Che Guvera a dictator is hilarious

No, I call Che Guevara a silly commie.

          Edit:
