2/3s of the country voted for Trump and the Republicans. I’d say that they got what they voted for.
27% voted for him. I’m glad you dislike Trump, but get your fucking facts straight
50% didn’t vote. They effectively voted for the winner and that was Trump. Facts are pretty clear, don’t vote and you are happy with the result.
I don’t disagree with that, but that doesn’t mean they voted for him. Believe me, I am more upset than you are, Aussie, But let’s not try and say 2/3 of the people cast to vote for him… which is explicitly what you said
I’d say apathy should be interpreted as a vote for the status quo (incumbent) but it’s flatly wrong to call it a vote at all.
It’s a choice. You to vote or not vote but at the end of the day, if you don’t vote then you should be happy with result. If you aren’t happy then you missed your chance. Effectively your apathy was a vote for the winner, which is my point. (My use of you and your is rhetorical not personal)
But there was no incumbant
Fuck those felons and diabetics who can’t wait hours without food, water, and a place to sit for a moment, amirite?
Then you should stick to them rather than repeating the deflections of the ineffective defenders of the shitty status quo.
We get it! You think Harris did nothing wrong and everyone who didn’t overcome significant barriers in order to vote for her is either sexist, racist, fascist, or all of the above. 🙄
It seems to be the American way, I won’t vote for someone I don’t like with the consequence of someone I like less getting in. A pyric victory.
No, I think that she did stuff wrong - but also anyone who didn’t vote for her is dumber than a sack of shit.
