    You can replace “but” or “and” with the semicolon.

    I could’ve used “but” here; I chose the semicolon instead.

    That’s all it takes; there is more to them, but that’s a valid use of the semicolon.

      Mean the semi colon is a special case in English grammar, I know where to put the rest of non colon symbols. The regular one is more simple than the semi. That wasn’t supposed to sound quite like that.
