A harrowing cartoon by Peter de Wit depicts parents sunbathing on an idyllic beach in Gaza, while their toddler blissfully digs up skulls in the sand.
De Wit’s “Gaza Beach 2030” won the award for best political cartoon in the Netherlands last year.
Now, a plan unveiled by US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law might just bring such a dystopian image to reality.
Jared Kushner, who serves as a US special envoy, announced plans for a “New Gaza” - complete with shiny skyscrapers, coastal tourist attractions and entire districts dedicated to business and commerce.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Kushner told global leaders that the Palestinian enclave would be run under “free market economy principles”.
He said these would seek to mirror the “same mindset and same approach” as Trump’s America.

Can’t they do this like anywhere? Why does it specifically have to be Gaza
Because everyone else will expect money for the land. But it’s easy to steal from dead people.
How else will they have such cheap land and workforce that’s so willing? Gaza and the expansion of Israel is just another Western colonial project, one that we’re witnessing IRL, and colonies make money through plunder and slavery. Nothing new, honestly.
Actually, yeah, this specifically is fueled by weird anarchocapitalist bullshit where that think they can just set up a city state themselves and it be a utopia, it’s literally why they want to go to war with Greenland. But now that i think about it… Just ask Trump to give up Florida or Texas? If this stupid idea is so important that they’ll do genocide or ww3, then surely Trump would be willing to just give up one of the worst states in the union instead
Their goal is to commit genocide of Palestinians. It’s either Gaza, the West Bank or Palestinians with Israeli passports, unless they start hunting down members of the Palestinian diaspora.
Presumably somewhere that isn’t towards the front of the line to wrecked by climate change.
It’s not colonialism, they are just occupying foreign lands to “spread civilization” on the natives while making money at side. /s
Let’s just erase Jared Kushner. Certainly he must be susceptible to bullets?
He’s just an objectionable little squirt. If it weren’t for Trump the world wouldn’t feel the need to pay any attention to him. It’s not like he even has particularly clever plans he just insinuates himself into whatever catastrophe his father-in-law is currently engaged in.
In another universe he is probably in some massive open plan investment bank office trying to sell dodgy shares.
Leveling Gaza got rid of most of their culture.

Don’t belittle their hard work. Carrying out the Hannibal Directive and killing so many of your own people to convince Jews to support an extermination of a semite population is no easy task.
What? Its not like erasing ones culture is a textbook definition of genocide.
Erase Christian culture as well
