TheOrcWhoWrites@lemmy.worldto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•As long as it isn't completely incompetent, I prefer english dubs to Japanese subs of animeEnglish1·10 days agoIf someone owns a TV that is small and is accross the room subtitles are useless. I also don’t enjoy reading unless it is factual.
TheOrcWhoWrites@lemmy.worldto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•As long as it isn't completely incompetent, I prefer english dubs to Japanese subs of animeEnglish4·11 days agoI am glad to hear this. I hate reading subtitles. I feel I cannot relax if I have to read. I want to sit back and casually enjoy anime. However if I hear about an anime plot and I cannot find a dub version for free, I will settle for subtitles. I find it annoying as well switching my attention from reading to what is happening. It kills the mood of becoming immersed in the story.

They are just funny dramadies on that channel. Some are hits to me and this was one that stuck in my head.
Imagine finding that a bird “stored” a nude
I love the part in the article you linked about Ben Shapiro, really made me chuckle. wonder how he felt after believing that lie.
Imagine trying to catch random birds one day in the not so distant future to see if it “contains” an image.
I saw this elsewhere and thought it was bs earlier, but this time I decided to check it out.

A ‘true’ horror in a way. (I am only on the first “chapter” but each chapter is a new take on something we can all relate to and it is chilling.

TheOrcWhoWrites@lemmy.worldOPto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do Americanized names of places etc exist?English0·4 months agoI know, I think I forgot to mention I understand that other countries do this, sorry for specifying America as I cannot speak for other countries as I am not from them nor have I been to them. This was about cultural awareness, and the fact that by learning difficult things at a younger age, ‘USA’ would be better. They are already teaching things younger and younger as we advance as a society, why not add this? I hear young kids learning more and more difficult things. But making it easier or harder is less the question, but rather advancing and making people smarter and more cultured.
The horror anime called “Monster” is getting really good.
