  • My physical therapist tells me it’s not that my muscles are weak, it’s that my ligaments are made of boiled noodles that refuse to keep my joints in their proper place. I have a lifetime of unrecognized hypermobility to contend with. That damage to joints is cumulative. I’m not risking popping a joint out of place just to help someone move.

  • I’ve been having good luck with Kimi K2 for CSS/bootstrap stuff, and boilerplate API calls (example: update x to y, pulling x and y from this .csv). I appreciate that it cites its sources because then I can go read more and hopefully become more self-reliant when looking up documentation.

I’m in a disabilities chat group and we’re often surprised when we’re reminded that “0” is the “normal” level of pain you’re “supposed to have” day to day. Everyone’s baseline is different. Pain sucks. (Unsolicited fact: my back pain got much better after I started physical therapy for it. I’m glad my health insurance covered it. Next round of PT: my knees. Why they be like that? [it’s probably the EDS])
