I’m not a conspiracy guy, but if a billionaire invented a political philosophy that benefited himself, it’d look a whole lot like American libertarianism.
Honestly there are so few examples of this being the case in the current day that you’re probably better off just forgetting this fact to avoid confusion. It’s kinda similar to how the Nazis labeled themselves as “Social Democrats” but by the time 1940 rolled around, if you so much as mentioned socialism or democracy around a Nazi official then the Gestapo would be at your doorstep within hours
