I’m gonna be real with you guys.

I don’t want Iran to have a nuke. The bombings of their fissile material enrichment facilities really doesn’t bother me.

However, I am not really fond of Israel starting the war and inevitably dragging us into prolonged conflict. Especially considering what they have done in Gaza.

    It’s complicated.

Unfortunately for you, israel and Trump all but guaranteed that Iran’s survival depends on them getting nukes.

Obama had a deal with a iran where we got to baby sit them to be sure. Iran wanted it for nuclear power. But trump had to screw it up, then let Israel start shit worse then ever before all over the middle east.

Maybe we wouldnt be worried about Iran having nukes if the whole region hadnt become such a hot bed that it is, again thanks largely to Israel for the past century trying to take over all the middle east thinking its their god given right.

I agree with you, I just think that the practical side of things, as they exist today, meant that Iran needed to be stopped from having a nuclear weapon.

I’m all for stopping meddling in the Middle East and reigning Israel in. What they are doing in Gaza is unconscionable.

If you are against WW3 then you should be against the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities. Bombing another country is an act of war, we are in another war now. It is not our place to decide what countries are and aren’t allowed to invest in nuclear technology.

Nuclear reactors are a peaceful technology that provides lots of clean power. Nuclear weapons are a deterrent for invasions and attacks. If Iran actually had nuclear weapons they would have been flaunting them to keep Dump in check.

This sentiment is exactly why Iran and other countries WILL get nukes.

Frankly, I do want Iran to have nukes. The region is so unstable precisely because there is one aggressive expansionist military power in the region, with no other nuclear power to balance them out. Iran hasn’t declared war on another country for over two centuries. Israel is currently invading, occupying, or bombing the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran. And they’re led by a radical religious movement explicitly hellbent on expanding Israel’s borders from the Nile to the Euphrates, gobbling up entire nations in the process.

You’re damn right I want Iran to have nukes. All evidence suggests they will be far more responsible with them than Israel is.

We already have nukes and let religious extremists control them in the US.

Maybe we should do something about that first.

Yes, the country seems to be going backwards, but I don’t believe that anyone reasonable in the US would agree to nuking another country for religious reasons. Iran might.

Donald Trump literally said 2 days ago he was thinking about nuking Iran.

Come back to the real world, we’re no better than them and we’re proving it on a global stage right now.

Look I don’t disagree. I’m not happy with the way things are going here. That doesn’t change the fact that Iran with a nuke would be a bad thing. If Joe Biden did this you’d be looking for ways to defend it. I am not a Trump fan at all. You can see my comment history. I’m just talking about the world as it is, not the world as we would like it to be.
