In a lot of areas, two incomes per household is the only thing that keeps it a household. There is no need for propaganda.

Only because of the world wars normalizing full employment. Before then only the most poverty level households required two incomes and even then it wasn’t universal

The propaganda is what has normalized it in your mind. The last 3 generations proves what happens when you let kids raise themselves

No, it’s because late stage capitalism requires prices to go up all the time, while salaries stagnate. People are spending way more of their income on housing these days, and even with two incomes they’re living paycheck to paycheck. Why would anyone need to be propagandized? It’s literally dual income or bust.

Either dual income, or one person of the household better be making a mid-to-high six figure income.

Thank you for repeatedly proving how effective propaganda is by repeating the normalization phrases over and over again, while also denying that it exists

You are the perfect patsy and I’m sure you are supremely convinced this is all of your own intention.

Two incomes per household has actually been normal for most people in most countries throughout history. The postwar nuclear family where only dad has paid work is a brief 40 year blip in western countries.

I’m not pigeonholing you, I’m responding in context to what I said earlier.

A lot of the definition of being a good man and husband comes from being a provider; a definition that hasn’t changed while the definition of a good woman and wife has increased to helping to significantly provide for a family.

If you don’t change the social acceptance of men doing other things than provide for a family, it is going to cause significant issues for those men who aren’t working.
