After The New York Times reported that the administration had identified 384 foreign-born Americans as targets for denaturalization, Fox News host Will Cain asked Vice President JD Vance in an interview, “Could the law lead you to a place where we’d see accountability in the form of denaturalization or deportation from people who come to this country, legally or illegally, and take advantage of America?” Vance responded that the administration would “absolutely” be looking at how to denaturalize citizens and claimed that under the Biden administration there was a “big blurring of the lines between illegal and legal immigration.”

According to the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, denaturalization has historically been rare. It is typically only used in cases in which there is proof that a person was naturalized when they were not eligible, for example if a person misrepresented or concealed information during the naturalization process that would disqualify them from U.S. citizenship.

But in June 2025, the Trump Department of Justice released a policy memo expanding the administration’s “priorities for denaturalization.” The memo not only outlines new categories of immigrants who could be prioritized for denaturalization, but specifically warns that “the Civil Division retains the discretion to pursue cases outside of these categories as it determines appropriate.”

Stop calling the Republicans. That was the larval stage before they morphed into their final form, MAGA. The term Republican should only be used in a scholarly, historical context.

We need to rebrand the entire conservative movement under MAGA, so at the end, we can abolish MAGA as the genuine active National Security Threat that it is, and sweep up the entire Republican party with it. Conservatives will have to entirely regroup, and rebuild a party from the ground up, under new political/campaign regulations.

This is who and what the Republicans and conservatives have always been, at root.

Never believe them when they - or those adjacent to them - start piping up with some horseshit about “true” conservatives.

Also, “take advantage of America” - fuck this asshole. The person doing that most egregiously, and practically rubbing all of our noses in it is the pedo-in-chief and his family. They are self-dealing right out in the open and all of these fuckers should be in prison for not only the prior crimes, but the crimes they have committed just since January of 2025.

We are past the point of doing this peacefully. We all need to wake up and arm up. I really hope I am wrong but we will see come November. Gerrymandering a district to the point of one side or the other really comes at a cost. In reality it make a lot of weak district that can be over turned if everybody gets their lazy asses out to vote. If we do not vote like it is the end of America in the midterms there is going to be violence. I can’t see anyway out of it.

There was a time when I wanted peace among all Americans. I now no longer consider members of the Dogey to be American, and want to fight a bloody war against them. They are enemies, who wish to murder the innocent and to enslave.

There cannot be peace in our time, because the Dogey are fundamentally evil. Until the cancers of fascism, elitism, and conservatism is removed, all the good people in America will suffer.

Hopefully, I and many others will live to see a better America. Or Americas, as the case may become.

In the same way that the solution to the Tolerance Paradox is to not tolerate intolerance, such threats to strip citizenship away from naturalised individuals should result in the would-be perpetrator’s citizenships being denaturalised instead. There should be no room for such hatred in modern society.

It wouldn’t take long if you removed fox news. Studies have shown just supplanting fox news with corporate media leads to rapid de-radicalization. They of course go back to that addictive fox news when the study is over, but it just shows that it can be done easier than we might believe.

That’s the true “million dollar question”; what happens to the US if/when this wannabe-Fascist dictatorship falls apart (as all Fascist dictatorships eventually do).

I honestly don’t have high hopes that the US will retain its position as the sole global hegemonic power. We will inevitably transition back to a multi-polar world, bringing with it all of the uncertainty that it poses.

Either the US holds these perpetrators accountable and spends decades rebuilding trust in Government at all levels (unlikely), descends into Russian-style cronyism (most likely), or Balkanises (wildcard).

        That’s the irony.

Many xtians and not a few Jews have taken issue with me online when I refuse to accept the provincial and presumptuous moniker of “[g]od”, but instead, either point out it’s their god (lowercase), or just use the appropriate name: Jehovah/Yahweh/Allah, because they are all the same, as all of these are the name of the god from the Abrahamic religions. Just talking about “God” with capital-G without pointing out that the god they are referring to is not Zeus or Odin or Apollo, is just accepting their framing.

Neither xtians nor Muslims tend to appreciate people pointing out that they have basically retconned Judaism and forked a new BS (Belief System).

Reminding them that their god is all the same god is not something they want to admit, but also cannot refute.

The official DHS twitter account tweeted not too long ago that they want to deport 100 million people. There aren’t that many immigrants in the US in total, naturalized or otherwise. The inescapable conclusion is that they intend to strip citizenship even from natural-born citizens who they decide are their political enemies.

Yeah Trump is trying to redefine to whom birthright citizenship should apply. He is actually the only sitting president to attend the SCOTUS oral arguments, and he did that over the birthright citizenship executive order. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if they’re including the people they don’t think should have been considered natural born in that number.

Hard to see how even scotus would find a reason to betray an amendment of the constitution, which they don’t have the authority to do. But they’ve done it for decades on other amendments so we will see. They think the republic is dead already, it’s only us citizens that are still contesting it.

But with the scotus decision to disallow nationwide injunctions, there is nothing to stop the administration, or a future one, from rounding people up illegally and doing whatever with them.

I thought the ramifications of that decision would have been obvious but everyone is still oblivious, I’m sick of explaining it in detail.

Even before, before most of us were born, the 4th amendment was in effect cancelled to a large degree. The 10th obviously has long long been dishonored with an ever more powerful federal government disallowed in the bill of rights, the 5th amendment with asset forfeitures without due process of law. I am forgetting something here too.

This court is just not pretending anymore, but this has been a half century in the making.
