Anime is lame. Japanese media in general is childish, creepy, and not deserving of the artistic praise it gets.
If I can add my own, then it’s “anime powerscaler” and their BS statement of how their favorite characters is better than anything else
I mean, even though it has a wider audience it is still mostly targeted at kids/teens. I do agree though that it is a bit overrated (and surprising homogenous).
As for the creepy part, yeah can’t argue with you on that. I think it’s gotten a bit better over the years, but it’s still hard recommending shows sometimes.
The whole “I’m a 125 year old spirit in the body of a 10 year old.” thing is creepy. Adults dressing like school children and sexualized. I’m not saying other cultures are perfect either.
