Understandable. I got it from pure coincidence: when creating a handle, I just tapped the x key thinking that it’d already been taken (it’s a single letter, those go fast) and that I might get some ideas from the suggestions that appear when a handle’s taken. None appeared and it took me a minute to realize I could just take X, so I did. I really didn’t expect it to be available and was baffled that it was.
It wasn’t until someone else pointed out the possible connection to the Nazi shithole and that Nazi’s obsession with the letter that I felt kind of good taking it, since this X absolutely hates the fucking Nazi and his shithole platform, Nazis in general, and sure af don’t mind saying so.
