That may be the case, but African Buffalo are like one of the most dangerous animals to humans on the planet. They have long had the nickname of “Black Death” and “Widowmaker” by the locals because they are so aggressive. The bachelor buffalo (older males that don’t travel with a herd anymore) are known to be the most dangerous. From the description that’s what it sounds like they were tracking. So one of those dudes killing the shit out of someone isn’t exactly uncommon even historically.

Can you imagine this dipshit thinking that a buffalo wouldn’t trample the shit out of him cause his bank account had a bunch of 0’s? A lot of those hunts are actually part of conservation efforts to cull older males who are stopping the younger ones from mating, and the money goes towards conservation.
He could have donated a million dollars to conservation and hired a local conservation officer perform the culling. Instead he acted out his disgusting instinct to murder animals for fun (not for food and not for conservation).
Local hunters culling deer is fine. It needs to happen since humans have removed predators. People traveling to kill animals is them going out of their way to kill beautiful things for fun.

As soon as a person. Decides to keep a trophy, I have an issue. Ive hunted many times. Either I used everything or ga e what I had to someone who did. Even antlers and hooves have uses.
